Cambodia developed 18 classroom assessment guidebooks for lower-secondary school teachers for the six priority subjects

Cambodia developed 18 classroom assessment guidebooks for lower-secondary school teachers for beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels for the six priority subjects, namely Khmer, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and History. The guidebooks help teachers conduct classroom assessments in accordance with the NLSA and the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), in which Cambodia is due to participate in 2021. In May 2019, the printed guidebooks were distributed to 100 targeted schools under the Secondary Education Improvement Project (SEIP) financed by the International Development Association (IDA). The Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport (MoEYS) plans to print and distribute the guidebooks to the remaining 1,600 lower secondary schools next year using the government budget.
