The objective of the study is to create and adapt an assessment tool for evaluating information and communication technology (ICT) competencies, ensuring it aligns with the educational standards and needs of partner countries within the CIS region. The project aims to provide a reliable and objective assessment of ICT skills among students and teachers in these countries, contributing to improved educational quality and the integration of modern technologies into the learning process.
The research tasks include:
- Analysis of the Current State of ICT Competencies
The study will assess the level of ICT competencies among students to identify current trends and needs in each country. The analysis will help determine the strengths and weaknesses of existing educational programs and outline pathways for improvement.
- Development of the Assessment Tool
This involves creating test tasks that consider the specific educational and cultural characteristics of each country. The developed methodology for evaluating results will ensure objectivity and reliability of the collected data.
- Pilot Testing and Adaptation
The pilot testing of the tool will be conducted in a range of educational institutions. Based on the analysis of results and feedback from participants, the tool will be refined to enhance its effectiveness.
- Implementation and Training
Training will be conducted for teachers and administrators on how to use the tool, ensuring its effective implementation in the educational process. Additionally, recommendations will be developed for integrating the tool into existing curricula.
Expected Results:
– Improvement of ICT Competencies:
The study is expected to lead to significant improvements in ICT skills among both students and teachers.
– Updating Educational Standards:
The project will support the development of modern educational programs that meet international ICT standards, strengthening the educational system and making it more competitive.
– Strengthening International Competitiveness:
Participation in global educational initiatives and improved ICT skills will enhance the competitiveness of graduates in the international labor market.
The development of ICT competencies plays a key role in economic growth and innovation, which is particularly relevant in today’s context. Improving digital literacy promotes social integration and equal opportunities, reducing disparities in access to education and technology. The project also fosters the exchange of experiences and knowledge between countries, strengthening international cooperation and building friendly relations.
In the next phase of the study, the completion of pilot testing, analysis of the obtained results, and further refinement of the tool are planned. Following this, the project will be scaled up, and training for a larger number of participants will begin, ensuring broad access to the tool for a wide audience.
