In 2022, the High-Level Political Forum was held from 05 to 15 July with a focus on “Better recovery from coronavirus disease (COVID-19) while advancing towards the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”. The High Level Political Forum (HLPF) is an annual intergovernmental forum where countries review and report on progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals.
The UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) is the UN’s main sustainable development platform and plays a central role in the follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the global level.
The establishment of the United Nations High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) was mandated in 2012 by the outcome document of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20) “The Future We Want”.
This year, the Forum’s special focus was on the following SDGs: SDG 4 on quality education, SDG 5 on gender equality, SDG 14 on life under water, SDG 15 on life on land, and SDG 17 on partnerships to achieve the Goals.
